Meet Toni and Learn about her Mission with The Dog Nanny
Hello, my name is Toni Godana! I am a 31 year old faith-driven dog and cat mom, wife, and praying to be a mother soon. Aside from loving and taking care of animals, my passions include hiking, volunteering at our church and dog rescue, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and working out. And of course, watching the Packers in the fall! Go Pack Go!
All my life I have had a passion for animals, especially dogs. I was raised in a 3-dog household, so I learned from a very young age the amount of love and care it takes to raise a healthy, happy dog.
God made me with an extra love for animals and I have always gone above and beyond to make sure that every dog or pet in my care is taken care of to the best of my ability. I was the kid in the neighborhood that took care of the neighbors' pets when they went on vacation.
In my adult years, I tried following the “American Dream” by attending UW Oshkosh, getting my bachelors degree, and graduating and working as a radiologic technologist. I did this for a few years until God moved me into a new path of entrepreneurship. I spent the last 6 years figuring out what I am truly meant to do here in this world, and time and time again, I am brought back to the thing I love most- caring for animals!
So here I am! I feel so grateful and blessed to be in a position in my life where I am able to do the thing I love most for my life’s work.
The Dog Nanny isn’t just a “business” to me. This is the beginning of a mission and a vision that God has placed on my heart. My big vision is to own land with a facility for training and boarding dogs. I see myself and my husband training rescue dogs, fostering dogs, and getting them ready to be adopted as healthy companions, making life easier for their adopters and of course the dogs themselves.
This path is the start for the big vision, but I also know that I can begin helping rescue dogs with The Dog Nanny right now. My aunt, Sandie Gore, has been involved with Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue for over 10 years. Her and an army of dog-loving earth angels with the rescue have helped hundreds of dogs avoid death and find loving, safe homes. I’ve always wanted to contribute more to the rescue and The Dog Nanny is a way that I can.
10% of all proceeds of The Dog Nanny will be donated directly to Mit Liebe. This money will go towards paying down the tens of thousands of dollars in pet bills, paying for food and other needs, and towards adoption fees when possible.
The rest of the proceeds of The Dog Nanny will be going towards obtaining my training certification and into a savings account to build a training facility when God determines the time is right and we are ready. This mission is about helping dogs and their owners have a better life together. What better way to begin than by helping loving dog owners, like yourself, right now?
It is truly my joy and honor to be trusted to take care of your fur babies while you’re away. Thank you for trusting me to care for your fur family and for being a part of a big dream! I pray many blessings over your life!
